Understanding the practical implications of tolerances and how they translate to physical fabrication.
A 3D-printed portable nightlight that uses nanosuction to stick to walls and ceilings.
Curious to explore the design of 3D-printed snap-fit joints and screws, I designed Jellyfish, a lamp that uses a polyurethane gel pad to stick to any surface. Jellyfish houses the battery and lights within its form, creating a glowing "nightlight" ambiance. The components are designed to easily screw apart, for easy replacement of the batteries inside.
